Of Punch and Movement In Boxing Achieved

There
has always been a longstanding debate in
boxing over the effectiveness of using
power in a punch against speed of
punch.
Not
that I am involved in such an argument I
decided a long time ago being a long
armed lightweight boxer. The faster punch
delivers before the power punch
effectively beating opponents to the
punch. A style of boxing commonly termed
as a speed merchant compared to the
opposite end of the scale, a power
puncher boxing
style.
At
root level of boxing where body structure
plays a huge deciding role, if stocky
build speed of punch can be commonly
used. Though often speed is sacrificed to
a degree in order to deliver more power
in the punches
thrown.
Which
can be a draw back of power punching as
mentioned, effectively beaten to the
punch. Though the consequence of landing
such powerful punches can have out right
match winning
potential.
Which
is the core of the argument, which one is
better performing styles speed of punch
against power of punch? Power punching
tends to be more often than not a slower
punch delivered, though creates much more
of an impact when
landing.
On
the other hand speed of punch in a point
gaining system would seem to make more
sense. If suppose able to throw two or
three punches more than a single power
punch.
Then again on the other hand if throwing one or
two full powered punches, so then landing and
impacting fully. Rendering the opponent unable
to continue is an early finish to the fight.
Which shall overcome and put stop to all plans
that any opponent might of had set out before
the match. By now I think you have grasp of the
speed, power punch debate that never really
ends.
Speed
punching is often practiced by long arm
boxers who will attempt to beat opponents
to the punch, with lighter punches still
hard punches just not as powerful as a
power puncher. Where body structure plays
the key elemental roll if in the opposite
where the structure is stocky, power
punching is likely the best
practice.
Against
if the body is tall then speed is likely
the best answer for the style of build.
Which will provide a certain degree of
power, though likely less than the
stockier build. So resulting in the
likely hood of being in the ring boxing
against stockier boxers more often than
not. Speed punching then being the
practicing element in the style of taller
fighter.
In
opposite the stocky boxer shall often
meet taller longer armed fighters,
governed by the different weight
divisions. Practicing the art of power
punching to perfect abilities to overcome
speed punching with power punching.
Resulting where these two completely
different styles of boxing clash in a
very exciting and entertaining contest if
evenly matched.
These
are two opposites in the style scale of
boxing to which boxers differ from one
style to the other with many boxers
falling some where in between. Resulting
in many variations of the two opposite
styles fore mentioned. Providing wide
innovations and mixtures using both
styles of punching in
boxing.
